Extremely simple, but it’s the second Japanese dish I’ve ever stirred up — and I think I did a fairly decent job. My mom refused to buy me Sake, so I went to my hidden stash and poured some Bacardi into the mixture. Surprisingly, I can’t taste it at all, but I’m definitely feeling a slight buzz at the moment (granted, I am fairly lightweight). Getting my family drunk off dinner tonight.

What is Sukiyaki?
Sukiyaki is a Japanese dish in a なべもの (Japanese hot pot) style. It consists of meat, usually thinly sliced beef, which is slowly cooked or simmered at the table, alongside vegetables & other ingredients, in a shallow iron pot in a mixture of soy sauce, sugar, & mirin. Generally sukiyaki is a winter dish and it is commonly found at Japanese year-end parties. Before being eaten, the ingredients are usually dipped in a small bowl of raw, beaten eggs.
